4850 Launch Delayed till Jun 23

I buy NV, because I use a TV output (ATI's Svideo outputs look like NTSC), and use Linux (ATI take my money and then tell me to F* off, nice)[1]

ahaaaa you're the person i keep hearing about that still uses tv out :p

ATI under linux has improved tremendously in the last 6mths, fglrx driver at least ....once the new open source driver gets done things should be even better really.

So, I wonder how they're doing AA without using the shaders? Shall I guess through on die RAM? :D Or is that their primary reason for upping the ROP count? Isn't shader based AA better quality anyway? Games like Assassin's Creed shown this I think. Maybe it has potential, but now isn't the right to employ it maybe? I also heard that devs hate shader based AA, I though it was the opposite? I thought they wanted to control the AA as much as they could with the game itself? Like engine specific sampling patterns or something?
