4870 bench

its a Sapphire mate no volt mods i think thats the max core like white screned at 875mhz
thats the stock heatsink aswell core didnt get above 60c its a better heatsink than a lot of ppl think
 
Hey , what are you using to overclock the gfx card ??

the catalyst control centre on mine tests the gpu but it still says the current clock frequency is 500MHz and the memory is 1090Mhz even though the test says that the gpu is at 780Mhz and memory 1090Mhz.

Just got this card today and moved from a 8800gts so not familiar with overclocking ATI cards :confused:

3D Mark 06 is currently at 15233 btw.
 
Just overclocked my cpu and got 3D Mark 06 of 16761 , but gpu still dosent seem to be overclocked :confused:

any help with gpu overclock would be appreciated :cool:

that should help you out mate i have heard the max core without volt mods is about 870-900mhz depending how good the core is i craped out at 865mhz

haha i got rid oy me 3870x2 too aswell, and i now have the pphire 4870....unfortunatly i cannot use it or havnt done any benches becuase its getting sent back on monday....giving me wavey display :-(
 
Just installed the AMD clock tool and so far i have got GPU up to 810MHz with memory at 1090Mhz and getting 3D 06 Score of 16912 , anyone any idea how high the gpu will clock , just going 10Mhz at a time at the moment , what is the avreage clock i should expect or am i pushing it a bit :eek:

i would say around 850-870is the max mate
what chip are you running and what speed mate

Max on my sapphire is 880/1200 under a maze4. Memory/VRM's cooled via heatsinks.

The standard HS is very good and if your core is capable the standard HS should cut it no problem if you don't mind the noise.
 
Nice score mate... I'm on 17k myself, however, 06' is rubbish and I'm sure your GPU's would kick my arse in games... but only by a bit ;-)

Any chance of some other benchies?
