one thing does the curve on the monitors matter

Some people don't seem to like it, but personally, on my X34, I find it helps. I've sat in front of non-curved 34" and it feels wrong to me somehow... almost like the monitor is curving away. These newer models seem to have a more extreme curve though, so I don't know how that would be exactly. I do think it benefits the format though, especially when sitting close. Curved TV's are a joke however, as you are simply sat too far away for it to be of any benefit.

I would highly encourage you to try out one of these monitors if you can, or at least see one in the flesh. Don't listen to anyone else, just try it for yourself before making a decision.

I agree 100% - I have a 34 Curved monitor at home, and we have a 34" flat at the office, it looks odd and the curve does suit this style in my opinion.

thanks everyone for their help I have more or less decided to go for the AOC agon ag352ucg,my only concern is my fav games are skyrim and fallout 4 my research tells me the AOC will need extra tweaking to get those games to work is this true.

Should be fine mate I don't recall having any issues with either, didn't play tons of Skyrim but did fallout 4 and that was back when I had a 970gtx too - still looked/ran lovely.

You should be fine with those. The only game that is an issue is Overwatch, as the devs have refused to support 21:9 due to the supposed unfair advantage... naturally they are also trying to ban gaming mice, gaming chairs, mechanical keyboards and fast refresh monitors to truly level the playing field. ;)

just out of interest why is 21.9 supposed unfair advantage

thanks for the reply so just to sum up here the AOC agon ag352ucg will run fine with the GTX1070 and almost all games run ok on it.sorry for double checking but £700 plus is a lot of money lol

It's really not... and if they try to make the peripheral vision argument, how is that any more persuasive than someone on a 144Hz monitor vs 60Hz one... or using a super responsive gaming mouse... or using 5.1 audio so they can pinpoint where a player is. It's a ludicrous stupid argument and the reason why I refuse to play the game. Rant over lol. ;)

The 1070 is a perfectly fine card for the AOC Agon. I am using a 1070 on my X34 at present, and while I can't run every game maxed out, I don't feel I need to as it performs excellently.

I'm running a 1070 and have no issues, people recommend 1080/1080ti but I think it's fine.
