The quality is awful on 4OD, heavily compressed and blocky fullscreen. Wish you had the option of HQ or HD like YouTube.

It did work in vista but you had to cheat their checks, then I think they enabled it to work with vista later. Always annoyed me starting up with windows though and I deleted it when the website came along

Great stuff, there was a couple of series such as Black Books where you had to have the 4OD player downloaded to watch. When using Win 7 that was an issue

op says 40d better than iplayer? doesnt remember what youve watched, doesnt remember where you were in the programme, picture quality seems worse, annoying adverts, because of adverts if you want to start in the second half of an hour long show you have to go to the first ad break then watch it then go to the next advert break and watch that then you can start

I think the confusion could be that yes you could watch the 4OD Catchup online, but for the older 4OD things (older than 30days) you used to have to download and run a client.

watched most peep shows , both series of spaced , and am gunna go through 'teachers'

lots of great programs and all for free

the beeb need to put some of there classics on but of course they wont because theyre out on DVD (ch4 ones are too !)
