£50 cashback on Samsung 990 2TB drives

That's quite a tempting deal indeed, especially with the heatsink included too! I will wait to see how @Gibbo responds, but given that OcUK aren't in Samsung's list of participating retailers, I'm not overly hopeful. :(

That's my drive ordered, even though my motherboard only has 2 x PCIe 3.0 M.2 slot. I plan to upgrade my system soon, so I will see the benefit of it soon enough.

Decided to go for this deal myself. I don't have an M2 SSD at all so getting one as fast the 990 Pro at 2TB for £109 at the end of the day is steal.

Just looked and yeah down to 159
And still 50 cashback
And free Norton and a m2 heatsink
Typically I bought some 1tb Sn850x recently
Those were a decent price
But that samsung offer is outstanding
Not looked yet to see if ocuk has lowered the price

Edit
Ocuk dropped to 189 for 2tb
No cashback etc
Very surprising as they surely watch competition prices

Doesnt matter how much cash back they give. These drives are unreliable and just not worth the hassle.
I beg to differ. I think (hope) it was just a firmware issue which has now been corrected. All being well, this drive should see me right for at least 5 years.

When I retired my 500GB Samsung EVO Plus, I'd written over 126TB over it's lifetime since I bought it in March 2019.

It's just my luck to miss out on that £20 reduction for the 990 Pro. But I'm more than happy with the £50 cashback - when I receive it.

How long does it roughly take for the cashback to land back into the bank account? I know Samsung say they'll let you know in about 30 days when they've transferred the money, but I'm curious to see how long it's taken other people to get their cashback.

My stepson applied for cashback
On a Samsung t7
Couple of weeks now still waiting
But on my s8 ultra tablet
Was under a week
Guess it depends which product how long you wait
The asus gpu cashback hasn't been quick either
Still waiting for that
Suppose the more they sell the longer you will wait

And yeah I thought it was just a firmware issue
Which had been sorted
Still using Samsung 830,840,850 evo and a sm951 m2 here
So in the main Samsung drives have been pretty reliable
For me anyway

Was in UK a couple days ago and bought same. 2Tb for 109£. (Actually main reason was that I had a ridiculously old amazon voucher I've had for years and wanted rid of it). So cost was closer to 9£.

Hopefully it solves the issue of my current NVME freezing regularly.
