50 Series Partner Cards Showcase

I think I might well be done with PC gaming after seeing the suggested price of the Astral 5090. I've kept my red devil 6950xt pretty honest over the past couple of years, and was thinking of going back to nvidia for the 5000 series, but prices are beyond insane now - I guess I knew AIB cards would be a few quid more, but christ on a bike, nearly £3k for a card is staggering. I hope that when the 9700xt does eventually come in March that it offers something worth retiring my 6950 for. Fwiw, I was hoping to move to 4k res, and away from 1440p - I guess staying at 1440p might be the best choice going forward. GL to all those getting a 5000 series card :)

You could, you know, consider a different model to the most expensive one? :D

But yeah they are all super expensive and if I had a 4000 series card, I don't think I could justify it but at 4k 240hz I am looking at nearly triple performance versus my 3080 so a worthy upgrade. I will be there at 2pm not getting one but trying :D.

They're going to sell like hotcakes whatever but feel like nvidia want to encourage 3000 series folk to upgrade and it's also a time where some people are looking for more performance as more and more move over to 4k 240hz so even if stock was a lot more plentiful than single digits, I think they'd still fly off the shelves

Haha, I wasn't suggesting for one minute I'd be buying the most expensive one - Oh no far too rich for my wallet. I was, however, just making a point at the ludicrous nature of spending £700 - £800 more on the Asus, than the FE, which is just as insane anyway.
I'd be happy enough to get a 9700xt and just plod along at 1440p though - but there was a part of me that was hoping I'd be able to get 5080 at sub £1k - clearly that isn't going to happen :cry:
