50 Series Partner Cards Showcase

Thinking of selling my 7900 xtx and getting the 5080. Long time since I've had an Nvidia card, pretty much impossible getting a FE in Ireland so which brand is usually the best for Nvidia and which ones should I be avoiding?

Gainward Phantom or Zotac Solid for me.

Honestly I'm leaning towards founders.

I like the Asus Astral but im not paying a 300 quid Asus tax for the privilege.

MSI Trio or Gigabyte Aurus Master would be my 2 AIB preferences.

Zotac AMP is pretty nice but im quite fond of these box designs this generation.

It does seem like a lot have been inspired by the Sapphire 7900xt and XTX cards this time though.

I love the Sapphire card ashetics so it's a good thing IMO.

So I'm learning between four cards (just watched the Hardware Unboxed video too). The fe, MSI Trio or Vanguard or the Astral.

I love the design of the fe, not sure about the power connector. Some have questions about the accoustics of the card, so I'll have to ready the reviews the day before release on that one. Love the light bar on the Asus, the msi ones will match with my motherboard better (and I have a glass front and side) so given they have silent fans I think I might pay a premium of +200 over a fe... maybe.

Gigabyte cards look really good but I hate those RGB rings, which makes it a total no go.

All depends on price on the day I guess. I don't actually care about looks that much if it's going to cost me an extra £500. That could pay for several games that feature dragons instead.

I have the Gigabyte gaming OC 4090 at the moment which I've had zero issues with and was fairly cheap when I bought it so that could also be another option I guess.

I'll try for an FE, but I'm kind of assuming I won't get one TBH. I don't like the design as much as the 4090 though.

After going Gainward for my past two GPUs, I'm inclined to go with them again as I've been very impressed with my experiences, and they're cheap (I also had a Gainward GTX 670 back in the day too!)

There Aorus master also comes with a bonus 4th fan that you attach to the top… very strange looking!

I’ll be avoiding that 5 fan one as it’s ’water cooled’ which potentially means ‘noisy non-replaceable pump’.
