Hi,
I am after a larger HDD drive, I don't have SATAII but it shouldn't be a problem with the old SATA right?

I have seen the 2 Western Digital 500GB HDDs models, both seem the same but prices vary, is there any real difference? I have a few other WD drives which have not failed me so I want to stick with WD. Also, they claim that the drives are quiet and run cooler.

I want to get an order in today to get it by Friday latest as my PC is doing dodgy things and I need to backup 750gb worth of stuff :(

Thanks

Buy the RE2 drive of the two. The Raptor 150GB uses the same technology (TLER) and it doesn't slow it down. It is optimised for RAID environments but this is not its only use. I would however suggest the Seagate 7200.10 500GB drive however...
