A fun thread where we try to improve our pulses. Post your picture and its highest "Pulse" with the category and a link to the picture. You can only post again when you have a shot that beats the score of your previous image within the same category.

So, if you have a "Landscape" image at 83.3, you can post another image that is at 72.2 if its in a different category. However, your next landscape picture would have to beat 83.3...

This is purely just for fun...

Disclaimer, we are all aware that a high pulse does not mean a fantastic picture, this is not a competition with other members, but a competition with yourself that we can share with others. There are several things that will improve your pulse... the time of day its posted, the day that it's posted..A picture of a girl will always tend to score higher than a picture of a guy... Find out what it is that makes people V+F and comment on your image and use the information to beat your score...

93.2 in Landscapes. Made it into Popular as well for a few minutes :o

Is there an easy way to find the highest? I already happened to know this one was, if I didn't I don't think I could be bothered looking.

Worst "I got a 95 pulse on 500px" thread ever.

This one got to 85.5 I think, not my favourite. Made it onto popular for a bit

On the contrary, it was to stop people like you moaning about threads and make one... I had a 93.2 for ages... and I the other day I beat it... I had been using it to inspire me to make better pictures. As I've said, the higher the pulse does not make a better picture, but you can use it as motivation... that's all, now stop being so negative and add some pictures you miserable sod :)

Nice picture by the way!... its really beautiful!

Thats a nice picture that Rojin and its also a good indicator of why 500px is pretty poor as a photography website. Its good from a "oh lets look at some pretty pictures" point of view, but rubbish from a critique, measurement of achievement and even sales perspective.

I've got around 15-20 people adding me as a contact on flickr daily now and it just keeps going up and up. The amount of views and exposure my work gets through flickr now far exceeds my 500px account and I prefer the community on flickr also as its more interactive instead of "leave a comment and **** off never to be seen again" like on 500px.

I use Flickr, but only really for hosting. Mainly for family and friends to see stuff. I keep thinking about setting up another account to do more photography rather than the happy snapping I primarily do, but it'll never happen :D

I think a second flickr account would break aperture on my macbook :D

I must be doing something wrong with Flickr, can't seem to get many comments on my photos or likes as it were. But then i don't tend to upload that much content. Still if anyone has any advice would be appreciated then maybe id use it more.

I don't like flickr because, like DeviantArt, it's turned into a bit of a circle**** of just spamming as many relevant groups as you can with every photo you have if you want to get any notice.
