5070 = 4090 for 499.

the only thing i like about the 5090 is the FE design but thats not enough to sell my current card and buy one :P bet its 10-20% better in games that dont support 2-4x faked frames

According to the cores and teraflops its about 27% faster, memory bandwidth is also a fair bit greater so could be pushing 30-35% in some games. Still not enough to upgrade from a 4090 mind.

PTXX 9090 Titan Ai x20 Ultron OC edition calling from the future! Look at you puny 5090 I generate 1 frame and get 60 with 8GB of vram. Bow down and call me Lord.

Agreed. The design (particularly the size of it) is impressive. I also like that it will (hopefully) push down the price of a used 4090 ;)

I came here for pages of fun memes, was disappointed, do better people. :p

Scathing across the board.

This guy is still down on AMD drivers because 10 years ago and then says he doesn't do driver testing..... :rolleyes:

If you're going to keep being publicly down on AMD drivers then you owe it to your viewers to know the facts.

He also talked about how he's been using a 7900xtx at home and had zero issues with it.
I don't think he intended to come off as down on amd drivers, just kind of meanders off topic and started talking about the old days. I guess it's the danger of this kind of free form podcast. Most of what is said is just what's at the top of mind in the moment and then it gets dissected after the fact.

Fair enough..... didn't watch all of it. :)

You're not wrong though, that bit does come across as negative and people are going to take it out of context. And its something they need to be aware of doing. There absolutely are going to be people who add this to their confirmation bias that "amd has worse drivers"
