54k to 72k big diffrence?

hi guys was looking at this drive as its nice and big as 7200rpm will i notice the difference in speed?

i will be putting it in my macbook pro

ocuk sell the one with out the free fall sensor i have seen on here something about the free fall sensor interfering with the macbook pro one? and one know anything about this?

yes you will see a difference
i went from 5400rpm to 7200rpm in my laptop and its a lot more nippy

I have a 4200 in my laptop and **** me is it slow. I would say yes a 7200 would be much snappier. My laptop is a 3400+ so its not short of power (when I used it loads 2 years ago) but the hard drive really made the high end hardware pointless.

Deffo get the 7200, the difference in bat life is a matter on minutes (like 3 or 4)

7200 is much faster and the cost isn't a lot more anyway.

ok thanks thats why its hard for me 2 find it lol

so is there anything bigger or better than this coming out soon as i can wait about 3months untill i want to upgrade?

You want the one WITHOUT the free fall sensors btw...

500GB 5400RPM aren't far off but 7200RPM 500GB aren't due until early next quarter.

Just upgraded my sony from a 5400 to a 7200 and it feels a lot faster - however a lot may be due to the windows reinstall... however it kicks out a lot more heat... make sure you don't cook your new drive!
