5600x or 5700x

The 3d is faster in EVERY resolution. Even at 16k, the 3d IS faster. It's the GPU that's bottlenecking. But if you buy a faster CPU now, you don't have to change it when you inevitably change your GPU. So the 3d will last for more gpu upgrades than the 5900x. It's common sense man.

Back in 2017 the i3 8100 matches the 8700k in 4k gaming performance. If I had bought the 8100 instead of the 8700k how great do you think it would have worked with my 3090? Exactly.
Don't agree in EVERY resolution, obviously depends on the game. I'll link you to some benchmarks later if you want.

COD Pacific, cyberpunk,GTA 5,Halo and others at 1440p 5900x is faster didn't look at whole article they trade blows but says 5900x 5% faster overall on games plus 5900x is cheaper for 1440p +.

Now to pacify things. I can understand there are a number of games where the 5800x3d can beat the 5900x but then there are a number where the 5900x can beat the 5800x3d. Whatever one you go for will be dependant on what love of games whoever wants to do that.

For me personally 5900x as cheaper is very good, runs a bit cooler and for my games id rather put money to g card possibly. Not worth the extra cash for x3d for me.

That was true coming out the end of the intel stagnation era, but I'm not sure if it will be true going forwards.
