580 GTX Price is up....

What happens when you don't follow Nvidia instruction...

Pretty sad as these review sites rely on hits to survive, and most will likely buckle under the financial pressure and give in...

This isn't the first time it's happened either, 3 or 4 other review sites like Anand, HardOCP have actually spoken out and complained about being left out of reviews, and a couple of non-english sites also.

Sad really that a company that big needs to act like that.
Just goes to show that if 580 gtx was really good they wouldn't really care.

Not a bad price considering!
They lowered their price.
Nice one Nvidia!
£ 399 is not great but it's not a disaster.
I will wait a little bit longer. £350 when 6970 comes out.....must hold out.....

I want a card now to replace my 5870 which has never been reliable i.e. grey vertical line crashes which I've reduced by using MSI Afterburner to increase the Vcore to 1.25 and using a Zalman VF3000 cooler to keep the temps down, although they were never that high anyway. I still get the occasional crash and I haven't had anything useful from ATI support except "wait for the next driver update". I'll give ATI a miss and I allowed for around £400 to upgrade anyway.

Thats unlucky bro.
i've had the 5870 since the SEP release. Sapphire edition for £305, for 1year 2 months, stock cooler.
Core 1000mhz DDR5 1300mhz
True had a bit of probs with powerplay + afterburner but the tribulations was fun :).
Quiet, fast, low power draw and never gave me any trouble. Now I got MLAA and still beats a 480GTX stock vs stock in Crysis. :-) one of the best cards I had.
And trust me I had a few.
I just got an urge to upgrade and its going to be a tussle between 580GTX ( feel like trying a bit of green ) 6970 2gb (< might be a beast ) on which to get.

920mhz is not too bad. Its look a bit better.
Still needs more testing because Vanatage doesnt make use of any tesselation so power draw wont be much.

Pinto needs to provide more stuff such as
fan profile how hot did it get, does it arftifact or not or was that a suicidal run....

edit:-
Also many rails 12V rails run above 12V.
Mine is 12.5V.
Its going to depend what kind of a core u get. You could get a real gem that might hit 1000mhz or a dog that doesnt even hit 850....

Prices are a killer, this card should be in the £350-375 bracket.
£400 they can shove it.
Got one delivered for £379 which is on the cusp of what this card is worth tbh.
