5850 or 460?

With the imminent price drop of the 5850 - now or just around the corner, is it worth holding off buying a 460 now? If I bought the 5850, would the loss of the physics be made up for in other ways? I know there are quite a few games coming out that will be utilising them, that I'm interested in.

Well done NV on taking a long time in being able to compete at prices, though I would not be surprised if they are taking a hit on them to get more market penetration.

I'd still plump for a 5850 though personally.

And not only the HD5850, the 1Gb 5770 has also dropped in price and as soon as it goes below £100 it will be time for me Xfire these bad boys as the scaling on the mid range Radeons is excellant.

It seems that OcUK is a bit behind on price cutting with the exception to the XFX 5870 :D Would like to see the prices of 5850 and 5770 on OcUK drop too :p

l just love the graphics card wars, quite happy with my 5870 at 885/1275Mhz temps never went over 70'c on air. But l have just installed a custom H2o loop, so theres plenty life left in the old girl yet, just been reading up on how to flash my Bios to Asus or MSI to get more grunt.:D
