I'm finally replacing my Athlon XP 1800 with 512mb ram which I bought almost 10 years ago and I'm building something that can run today's offerings. By they way, it's also my first time purchasing at Overclockers - so I'm a PC virgin! (be gentle with me, please!).

Unfortuantely not you ahve placed your order on the 14th there are a lot of people befoer you I am afraid. I have teh XFX spare if you want to change over.
It will now be posted monday. If you swap to the XFX it will be posted today.
Would you advise me to wait for the Asus 5850 then? As I've read that this potentially is the better card for overclocking as well as the 3 year warranty (do you know roughly when the next shipment will be in after todays?). Can you overclock an XFX 5850? which would mean I would not need the Asus if this is possible. If I change my order to XFX 5850 will I be refunded the difference in price and will it arrive by Saturday?
It is up to you I have no confirmed stock after this first delivery could be a day or so could be a week or so. You can overclock the XFX 5850 as to how and what to i have no idea. If you change to the Asus I will refund teh difference and youcan get on saturday if you pay for the Saturday shipping.
Monday unless you select Satruday delivery service.
As much as it pains me to have to wait, I think I'm going to wait until the Asus 5850s are available in stock (unless anyone on this forum can convince me otherwise). If I wait for the next stock of Asus 5850s will I be guaranteed to be sent one whenever the next shipment arrives? Or will I still have to wait until all the back orders are cleared (because if that's the case then I will opt for the XFX 5850 and Saturday delivery). Please let me know, although the voltage mod, 3 year warranty and clocking ability of the Asus really has me sold at present.
I can not give you any gurantee of what is arriving and when. I may only get one card I may get 100 I do not know.
