Why not? Are you saying that a card that will likely be cheaper, use less power, cooler, but about the same performance or better (All guesses of course!) than the 480gtx will not be wanted?

Gareth I think medium will certainly be very playable on a 5850/5850, and possibly high, apparently crysis 2 will be a hell of a lot more optimized than crysis was, so expect quad and hex core CPU's to be put to good use.
@wes, the developer has stated that crysis 2 will be developed to take full advantage of the PC as well as the consoles power, if that's true or not only time will tell.

I haven't read much on this game, but i swore it was a console port which lead me to believe the game should be playable on the highest setting?

GTA 4 was a console port (from a five year old console) and that runs like pap on all but very decent PCs...
