Thanks

Just thought id try and help him.ah well.
Just looked it up,.they have upto 45 days.
With it being a powercolor card(and bought just over 12 months ago),. I have read it can be a pain dealing with them.

I'm all for helping someone on ebay (not enough people like that on there at the minute) but you have lots to lose and nothing to gain.

Best case scenario is that the RMA goes through OK and you get a warm fuzzy feeling at the cost of a month to 6 weeks of emails acting as intermediary between OcUK and the buyer.

Worst case is you end up £xxx (I'm guessing about £300) out of pocket with nothing to show for it.

Yeah. I suppose. This is why I hate using ebay. I feel sorry for the guy(i feel horrible)but like you say im not obliged to do anything. I will see what happens.
Thanks anyway guys.

Please just help yhe guy out. Karma (or some similar stuff) will help you out. Just email ocuk and get an RMA raised. Tell him to send the card at his own cost and thenwait for a replacement. Claim the delivery to ocuk and then use that to send it back to him. Its unfair that he should suffer. Im sure he paid quite well.

I would also tell him beforehand that he may have to wait a month and that he should expect to possibly get a different (but similar) card back

if you want to go this road, make sure the guys pays for everything
if you want to be truly evil, get him to send it to you, rma it yourself and just keep the card when it gets back*

*warning, side effects might include loss of soul!

Just say that if the card is not faulty then you will charge him £30 for the testing amd the postage costs. That should cover you. Also the card will be returned to you no matter what so if he doesnt pay keep the card. Make sure you make this completely clear to him

All they need to do is contact Powercolor directly, and provide the card's serial number. try [email protected], he deals with European RMAs for Powecolor.

The above may be a problem if you have registered it in your name already. Going through it with ocuk will be much much easier i think. Why not ask him to gove you £15 in return for helping him out when you dont need to?

Might atleast make it worth your time

If its 2 months ago you dont have to do anything

BUT it really wouldnt be much of a hassle to help him out would it. Ask him to return it and tell him you will RMA it on his behalf. Just be sure to tell him the RMA process m ay take some time and ask him if hed be willing to cover postage. :)

I think it would be easier if you gave him an rma number and told him to rma to ocuk. Card will get returned to you and you can charge him for postage back to him

THIS. Someone once abandoned me in same situation, I was gutted...Yes it is pain, especially in some occasions with RMA, but still help the guy (at the end of the day it is huge money to loose)! Just charge him for all deliveries what will be needed and like someone said, a tenner or smtn for a help!
