Well that would depend on where you work, if you work in a greasy spoon, I wouldn't be so surprised, if you work in a financial firm then I would find it concerning.

That one rounds to 47500 as the nearest 100.
I thought that too but as it asked not to do it for the nearest 10 I assumed they wanted 2 answers.I thought it asked for one number that rounds to 1000 and one to 100, question is exactly worded well.
why dont they just write the question in simple english and not try to confuse people

I read it that each number you choose must round to 48000 as the nearest 1000, 48000 as the nearest 100 but must not round to 48000 as the nearest 10.
