**6 Nations Starts Here**

Very very pleased with Ireland performance today. Even in the first half. We starting to get a bit of form again since a very bad world cup.

Unlucky for Ireland there, really thought they might have done the French at the end there. Looking forward to tomorrow, could be an interesting one. Obviously England should win and win well but I don't think the Italians will make it easy at all.

Glad that Wales won today, it was needed just to reinforce the win against England last week.

Hopefully they can sort out the handling errors and set-pieces (scrum and lineout) and take the rest of the games by the scruff of the neck.

A good win against Italy will be needed to boost morale/confidence in the all important run up to the two key games; Ireland (away) and France (home)

If they can hit the ground running against Ireland then I can see a cracking grandslam final match at Cardiff :D

Ireland kicked it away! The fools!
Just give it back to the forwards, who had the French pack on toast, and maul it under the posts.

I've never seen a French front row dismantled like that before. And let's be honest the Irish front five are hardly world beaters in the tight.

Wales played in fits and starts again against a Scotland side who still haven't scored a try and rarely threatened to.

I'm looking for a solid England performance today. Draw the sting from the Italian pack in the first 20 and then start to gain some ascendancy up front. A few tries late on would be nice and some game time for Cipriani at 10.

Well done to Wales, I only caught the first half live and had to read the rest as commentary but from what I saw there was no way Scotland deserved to get anything from the game - far too many sloppy handling errors and not enough threat when they did hold onto the ball which was something Wales seemed to be showing. I'm starting to feel mildly aggrieved by officials messing up the decisions that seem to keep going against Scotland though - perhaps this new chip will balance the one on the other side. :o :)

I'm hoping the England Italy game is entertaining but I'm not expecting too much.

God, as a neutral watching the Italy/England game... the BBC don't half go on about England.

I'd like to know something about the Italians, it's been 20 minutes of England and 5 minutes of Italy :-/

I just had some of my family actually phone me up and told me to phone them when kick-off was because of how crap this buildup is to the game.

Indeed... It's pretty silly.

England looking a little sketchy at times, but I'm in no doubt they'll get the win.

Unfortunately Italy just don't have the quality they need to get over the gain line.

It's been mostly Italy and England seem confident that they can just pick up the penalties or make quick breaks.

If England get an early try in the second half then it's all over, and I don't realistically see Italy coming back unless England implode again.

England looking poor second half again.

Italy seem to have raised their game.

You get the feeling that if Italy were a top tear team, had that extra bit of class and finishing that this would be a lot, lot closer and Italy may even be leading.

Incredibly well deserved try for Italy!

Well done Picone!

England have been awful... no commitment, kicking away...

Second half has been woeful for England, Italy really should be leading (but fair enough they don't have the quality to finish).

England will get slaughtered at France if they play like this in a few weeks.

England got through by the skin of their teeth.

One word described England's second half, it starts with S and ends with T and it isn't shoot.

Kick, kick, kick, kick, kick, kick.
