waiting for the 6970 myself, did have CF 5870's but due to lack of use i sold one a couple of weeks ago while i could still get £250 for it , if the 6970 offers <30% increase across the board il stick with 1 5870 untill the 7970 is launched, 30% or more and im sold

5870 was not a paper launch, paper launch is no stock available on launch day.

Any new gen tech, using new gen directx is always going to be in short supply.

5870 was not a paper launch, paper launch is no stock available on launch day.

It was far closer to a paper launch than a hard launch, just because one or two batches of cards reach retail doesn't make a hard launch, a hard launch would be when retailers are supplied with sufficient stock to meet demand prior to launch.
