640 or 1000

Hello, i currently have two drives. A WD640 Black, and a Samsung 1tb F3.
Would i notice a difference in loading time of windows 7 and Games, if i used one over the other, or is the difference so small its negligible.
Just trying to decide which to use for my OS and game installs and which to use for storage.

The Western Digital Black has a much slower random access time, so in theory it would be more suitable as the OS/games drive, although the F3 has larger platters and higher transfer rates. Swings and roundabouts really.

Personally I would use the smaller WD drive for OS/apps/games.

Though the F3 is faster I don't think you'd notice the difference in speed in reality.

It's not that hard a decision it's a 50/50 possibility. Choose one over the other and if it's slow you only have your bad luck to blame.
