65" 4K HDR TV - under £2k

Thanks, so the first 8 page thread is most of the evidence, there are not many contributors compared to the other avforums threads.
Examples of folks that have experienced persistant burn-in from static/yellow graphics or movie side bars (that was a new one for me) are few.

Oled's have been in the market for a few years, so folks must have clicked up a few 10Khr's useage, but nonetheless no one seem to have practical examples of permanent colour degradation.

Agree a 10yr guarantee would put issue to bed, however even within 5years, had found this thread interesting where LG said tv had been mis-used, displaying static graphics, so were not fixing it.

as you say, if you must have 65inches sub £2K,
but it is always interesting to know if the consensus is that OLED picture is so good that the trade-off of a 55inch OLED, sub £2K is what most folks would make.

Yes, LG refusing warranty inside the 5 years was a big put off for me, particularly as I've already had the same issue with LG support on 2 other TV's bought around the same time as each other and both failed in warranty (LG seem to like pushing out updates on 2-3 year old TV's that breaks big chunks of the menu, hence why I am getting rid of one of them now)

55" isnt a trade off for me due to viewing distance making 4k 55" basically pointless, which was explained on the first few posts on page 1.

Sony is in and up on the wall, not had a chance to play with calibration yet but out of the box it is simply stunning, brightness is great an no annoying reflections like the outgoing LG
