There looks nothing wrong with the components.

The PSU is good enough.

You may want to consider adding some intake fans to the case if you haven't already.

There's bugger all difference between x8 and x16 and if you were considering 2 HD 6950's they would run at x8/x8 anyway.

But I never had these problems at the beginning it's only happen over the last month. Could it be a faulty ram stick? they've been in there for 2 years with all the other components.

But I will get like 95 percent per card in crossfire still will be double performance with 2 6950's

My point was that you're moaning about trying the card in a x8 speed slot when that's your ultimate plan anway.

They charge the same card that you used to purchase (or they did for me). They also charged me instantly without any real notice.

Indeed they use the same card as what I used to purchase the items with.

Wait until the card arrives and test and check temps, then we can see if you require more fans.

GPU-Z has a graph which shows a rough guide to temps or riva tuner which in the past has a good graph which shows more accurate temps.
