Mathematically speaking, any 3 out of 13 teams could go down this season, it's so close. You can *probably* rule out Everton, Bolton and Newcastle, so let's say 3 from 10. Let's see who you think the bottom 3 will be come May 22nd.

I don't think it's all going to be said and done until the final day, myself. Here's my picks:

18th: Blackburn. Clueless owners, inexperienced manager, dreadful away from home and some tricky games to come in the form of Everton, Man City and Man Utd.

19th: Blackpool. It'd be a shame to see them go as they've contributed to some excellent games this season and aren't scared to attack. Sadly, their penny-pinching is going to cost them a 2nd season in the Premier League. Defence isn't up to scratch and they're running out of steam fast.

20th: Wigan. A team I'd love to see go down. Should've gone down a few years ago, now it's their turn to say goodbye to the big leagues. They have sprung many surprises in their time but they've been utterly woeful for most of this season and aren't worthy of another chance.

Running them close will be my own team, Aston Villa. I could give a whole host of reasons, but the main one is we suck. We have Arsenal and Liverpool last 2 games, and between now and then we have 5 other relegation-threatened teams. We need 9 points from those, or we're in the mire.

I hope Wigan go down.

I think Blackpool might be joining them.

Would like to see West Ham / Wolves stop up.

blackburn drew at the emirates on saturday, wouldn't call that dreadful away from home?

west brom, wolves and birmingham all stand more of a chance of going down than blackburn (even though wba beat liverpool on saturday and were 11th for an hour) it's still so tight but i think blackburn will survive.

west ham
wolves
wigan

is how it reads now, i think that they will be the 3 to go down with blackpool swerving it on the last day

I really hope Blackpool and Wolves stay up. Both have played some very watch-able football at times.

My head says it'll be Wolves, Blackpool and Wigan though. :(

1 point from their last 6 away games would suggest they aren't exactly fantastic, at a time in the season that's pretty crucial. They haven't won away in 2011 :o

Really want Blackpool to stay up, they are very good for the premiership. It's a shame that it is so close, all games are now important and I expect the bottom 3 to change each week!

Wigan
Wolves
West Brom

Hope the Hammers survive just as we start coming together, also hope Blackpool survive as they have certainly been good value for money this season!

In no order:

Wigan
Blackpool
Birmingham

Wigan and Blackpool have been awful recently. Birmingham have had trouble playing any sort of football really.

That said, its pretty much impossible to predict with how close it is at the moment!

I think we (Wolves) have been playing well enough to stay up (Newcastle aside!), but who knows. Really suprised to see Villa down there, even if the manager is to blame for anything, they have a much better squad than their position indicates!

Wigan, wolves and blackpool to go down.

I think west ham will just about have enough to stay up this year but will go down as the bottom club next year.

Just did the BBC match predictor thing as I found positives and negatives for each team down there and here's how it finished....

1- Man Utd - 83pts
2- Chelsea - 75pts
3- Arsenal - 73pts
4- Man City - 71pts
-----------------------
5- Tottenham - 65pts
6- Liverpool - 55pts
-----------------------
7- Everton - 48pts
8- Sunderland - 47pts
9- Fulham - 45pts
10- Bolton - 45pts
11- Stoke - 45pts
12- Blackpool - 45pts
13- Newcastle - 44pts
14- Aston Villa - 44pts
15- Birmingham - 44pts
16- West Brom - 43pts
17- Wolves - 41pts
-----------------------
18- West Ham - 38pts
19- Blackburn - 36pts
20- Wigan - 35pts

Would actually love it if it finished up like that

I'm hoping it will be Wigan, West Ham, Blackburn.

I don't like Wigan, I don't like West Ham and Blackburn are due some grief.

There's no way Sunderland are gonna be in the top half, we are currently the worst team in the league, we haven't scored a goal since February 12th and we've had 2 shots in the last 2 games. Can see us struggling against West Brom on Sat too, if they score first, they'll win and they'll be above us

Blackpool have been on a constant downwards spiral and i really can't see them staying up now. :(

It's impossible to guess the others but it'll most likely be West Ham and Wigan or Wolves and Wigan. I would like Wigan, wolves and Blackpool to stay up and Stoke, Newcastle and Blackburn to go down.

Don't want to see Blackpool go down as I do love them but with such a tight budget even if they do survive unless they get a nice cash injection or Holloway makes some great signings (which is always possible) I don't they'll do aswell as they did at the start of this season.
