It's only a hard drive. You can't expect THAT much unless your raid them i think
 
Well i have heared some guys saying that after raiding 4 drives they saw huge differences such as booting times etc. I believe that a difference would be obvious if you try to transfer a big file but apart from that i cant see how RAID can help. Anyone else view on this?

It is too much. I do notice a difference while trasnfering files but nothing HUGE. Haven't tried boot times yet

Pretty much what you said, its good for working with huge files like video and whatnot but otherwise its not so hot. I've been using RAID for a long time in server builds and its mostly for redundancy, speed is improved as little but nothing earth shattering.

Won't be buying one now that I know it doesn't make so much difference :)

Better keep the money for a gpu. I have been pondering about buying 2nd raptor but i get mixed information as to their perfomance
