7800X3D build crashing when scanning for new hardware

I’ve also reseated the CPU, no bent pins or broken pads I can see. I downgraded the BIOS as well and same problem. The network adapter sometimes works to connect me to the internet (it always crashes when trying to update the driver). Is it a hardware fault of the CPU or Motherboard? I can’t see any physical damage to the Ethernet port itself.

It says theres a intel driver for ethernet and dunno if its latest but heres a driver page tho might be what u already used i dunno.

Also it seems ur comp hasnt got a gfx driver installed, tho not a priority till u fix crashing but the dxdiag says ur on the basic display adapter driver.

Network in dxdiag showed a bunch of stuff so googled it and says its this.

So theres another source of driver to try. For a

MT7922 802.11ax PCI Express Wireless Network Adapter

Then found this after googling mt...

Could try this too, might fix whatevers causing it.
https://www.howtogeek.com/222532/ho...-system-files-with-the-sfc-and-dism-commands/ Presume its about the same for win 11 as it is for 10.

At end of dxdiag, theres a few network issues. If u google the stuff there, not sure what to google so try a few diff lines and maybe u can find the solution to those.

Also try win troubleshooter and see if that turns up anything.

You also have something related i think to hyper v, that its having issue with something in these sections near the bottom.

in dev man in network section, uninstall by right clicking on em them and the thing under other adapters. Or disable em, reboot then install drivers then re enable if still disabled/uninstalled.

Or somit like that, u can try?

Does safe mode reboot help for installing em?

Tried to use compat mode? On the asus exe setup thing and try diff options there or right click and run exe as admin maybe?

Check power plan is on max performance btw just got a feeling might be somit there messing up.

Also test ur ram if possible unless u already did, nvm unless u wana check if ram speed is set correctly.

Is there a diff drive u can install win on, to rule out a install issue?

So second hard did the exact same thing so that’s all good. I’ve now switched the PSU to a known working one and the high pitched noise I could hear is actually the motherboard. Must be some sort of problem with this particular motherboard and CPU.
