7900X to a 9800X3D worth it?

Gained some single core performance and obv lost multi due to not as many cores. Boot up seems a tad quicker, games performing well, all good. GPU upgrade is next on the cards, this CPU seems like a safe bet though for the next few years. I considered a 9900X3D or 9950X3D, but due to the chiplet design, the way the cache gets accessed. I doubt they will be faster for gaming and I don't mind just having the 8 core 16 threads, this PC is mainly for gaming.
