7950 Crossfire Usage issues..

I'm running an FX-6300 oc'd at 4.5ghz at the moment but I have an i5 3570k sitting right in front of me ready to be installed along with an ASRock Extreme 4.

Maybe the game you're playing is not very demanding so is not pegging the gpu's at 99%.

It isn't, probably doesn't even have/need a profile yet anyway, switch off CrossFire and check gpu usage, although it still might not run@99% all the time due to it not being very demanding.

Get them into the [email protected], get yourself Heaven and/or Valley and run CrossFire again, if they don't sit@94-99%, then you have a problem.

SO have just got a pair of MSI HD 7950 OC BE to use in XFire mode, this will be my first ever dual GPU setup. What should i look for or test to make sure these cards are performing as they should do?

Also noticed theres a power connection on the mobo (same type thats on the rear of HDD and DVD Drives), i should connect this too when using XFIRE??

So thanks for your help everyone - particularly the wonderful LtMatt - but this morning I sold the pair on eBay and ordered a Gigabyte Windforce 780. I enjoyed my brief stint into Crossfire but the world of single GPU gaming awaits.

That explains it then.

Just install the latest beta drivers and caps and you should be good to go.

Not sure what you mean about the power connection sorry.
