****7950 (disabled) BOOST BIOS thread****

Thanks for the help.
I will try that sequence, I presume I would flash the bios between 4 & 5 ?
I had pretty much done it using DDU, maybe not that exact sequence.
The cards are HIS Ice Q Boost.
Thanks for the offer of editing the bios for me that much appreciated.
Is that the copy GPU-Z makes and calls Tahiti by default as I thought that was the stock bios that does boost ? Or have I got the wrong end of the stick ?

Thanks again.

For the Copy of bios, follow these steps

1. Flash the NON-BOOST BIOS (Follow steps in previous post)
2. Once you've successfully flashed the Modded BIOS with no boost, make a copy using GPU-Z.
3. Put the BIOS in Winrar or 7zip (It just protects the file)
4 Send it to me and tell me what clocks, volts and what custom fan profile you would like.

REMEMBER to follow step by step ;)

Ok, I have followed that sequence to the letter and still no temperature readings in ccc or gpu-z :(

This is strange, are you sure that your card has BOOST? I remember having same problem as you, when trying to flash a BIOS from non-boost version of IceQ 7950.

If you're sure that none of these work for you, just send me the backup of your original BIOS. I'll do a custom BIOS for you, also remember to tell me what clocks, volts and fan profile you would like. If you aren't sure about the overclock and need some time for testing, that's fine as I'll be home doing boring work... :(

Yep it sure is a bit weird.
Just tried the other bios's following the step by step method and still no temp readings although ccc and gpuz do see the overclocks.
So I thought right just flash back the original bios and without even reinstalling drivers or gpuz the temp readings are back.
Thanks for the offer of custom bios. How would I send my originals to you ?
Is it that trust thing ? Never used that.

Edit - yes they are boost, 850 stock boosts to 925.

Just to make sure, did you flash through Windows or by using an USB stick? To setup your trust, you'll need to click on it and there will be fields for you to fill out. You don't have to write down your name & surname, an email address is absolutely fine.

In the message attach the BIOS and write down exactly what clocks and voltages you would like.

Hi, yes I flashed from windows, there didn't seem to be any problems, didn't get any error messages.
I must be on a major senior moment this evening as I cant see any way of attaching files to the trust message :o
