7950 & Micro Stutter

Check the unlocking options in Afterburner's settings. Also in CCC see how far Overdrive will let you go.

The stutter could well just be a problem with those particular games as others have said.

Ok I have unlcoked the voltage control option but it shows as 1.125 in afterburner, when the stock settings are 1.25. Have I git a dud card?

Far cry 3 is crap as far as smoothness goes, ive fiddled with lots of settings but even with everything turned low it still acts like it skips frames, choose a different game to bench your card

Well it seems to be playing games nicely now. Got a decent 55fps average in the tomb raider benchmark with the ultimate preset. Happy with that :)

I think ill just live with the stutter on far cry

Ok everything seems to be running nicely now but I've noticed that in games the GPU usage doesn't reach 99 or 100%. In far cry 3 with everything turned up I'm getting 80ish % gpu usage. Seems a bit strange?

I ran the tomb racier benchmark and was getting 97-99% which seems right.

As said earlier, don't worry too much about any odd happenings in Far Cry 3, it would appear ubisoft have completely abandoned it, leaving it in an all round poor state.

It could be an issue with the 13.4 drivers too. AMD's releasing a very big driver update at the end of this month.

Ive had plenty of Farcry 3 stuttering even though the fps was through the roof. The second i pulled one of my 7950 out of the machine and OCed the other one by 40% the game has been smooth every since. This is running on Windows 8.1 with the specific driver release for Win Blue. Every game so fare with this set of drivers and OS has been smooth sailing. A bit odd as i remember some of the beta versions for vista and win 7 to cause a sh*tstorm of trouble.

Bioshock and Tombraider seem much better since the drivers were removed and installed again. Still cant seem to get the Bets 13.6 drivers to install though :(

Neither can I for love or money:confused:

I have done everything in the AMD drivers thread. Down load it from different locals.

I been playing skyrim today and have micro stutter on my single 7950 and have tried radeon pro but that didn't help much.

What the best thing to smooth out skyrim on 7950?

Skyrim has been absolutely smooth on my 7970, I use RadeonPro to fix it at 60fps and it never stutters. It doesn't need a 7970 to do this I'm sure, as I can push up the settings to max. I'm assuming you're on 13.4 or 13.6beta?

I'm on 13.4 drivers,

Skyrim is pretty bad stutter for me I tried limiting in radeon pro to 59 frames and setting cue size to 1 but didn't help.

Here is a shot of fraps it's up and down constantly

Any one know if there is a fix for this?

I had the radeon pro set to launcher instead of the game :)

Game is running smooth now on radeon pro what a massive difference it makes.

No more input lag or stutter :)
