Hi Guys

Is it worth upgrading to anything else yet?

I have a 7950 running at 1920x1080 / 1080p

Not been taking much notice of the card scene lately any major upgrade available or round the corner?

Cheers
Dan

I am in the same boat atm, been looking at 780 ti's and 290x's etc

get a 2nd 7950. Trust me, no single card, unless it's incredibly aggressively overclocked, will touch the performance of 2 7950s in crossfire.

6 months ago I was planning on selling both mine and had a buyer for £300. I was planning on buying a 780ti with the money. But on seeing the performance of a friends 780ti on a very similar spec system, I decided to keep my cards. I reckon you could pick up 7950s as low as maybe £130 now, which is a complete no brainer of an upgrade. Just as long as you have a mobo and PSU that can take the extra card.

Tony, What mobo are you currently using? this is the asked question i gave in another thread.. my mobo only supports 4x crossfire (ASUS P8P67) hoping on another mobo at the cost of around £150??

Yeh my mb only supports x4 in crossfire, would it still be worth it or need another mb also?

2 x PCIe 3.0 x16 Slots, Supports AMD Quad CrossFireX™, CrossFireX™ and NVIDIA® Quad SLI™, SLI™

Does this mean they both run x16? Or would would one be x8

It will run at dual 8x but if you have ivy cpu or later this will run at pci 3.0 and 8x =16x 2.0
2 x PCI Express 3.0 x16 slots (PCIE2/PCIE3: single at x16 (PCIE2) / x8 (PCIE3) or dual at x8/x8 mode)
- 2 x PCI Express 2.0 x1 slots

Ok, hmmm so does this mean sli/xfire is not really worth it?
