We actually have a distillery just down the road from us in the village, The Aberlour, another just up the lane at Glenallachie, another a couple of miles away at Craigellachie, in fact being at the heart of Speyside we are surrounded by them. Most of the villages around here have at least one distillery and some have two or more. Personally I can't stand the stuff and have been teetotal for over 10 years.

Must admit I am more familiar with the west coast
My dad would have known those names
Long time ago now
But he used to take a 53 seater coach full of tourists
On the distillery tours
Was a nice little earner for him lol
Back in those days the driver would get a present
From each distillery for bringing a bus of tourists in

Have been teetotal for over 20 years myself
People still give me bottles of whisky
As a present
Apparently just being Scottish means I drink the stuff
Don't have the heart to tell them since
They've been decent enough to get me a present
