7970 + bf3

for about the 20th time, the point in putting settings on low is to try and get 100fps constant.. is a lower end card going to achieve this?.. no, i do feel the difference between 70 and 100fps otherwise i wouldnt be bothered.

i'm not here to talk about why i'm not using ultra settings in bf3 on my 7970. sorry to be abit blunt just sick of people saying it when its not the OP.

I would suggest again that it's part of the game that's not optimised for the 79** cards, did you fill in the survey to AMD?

But why?

If "for the 20th time" you've been questioned have you not cottoned on yet that it's pointless?

It's your money and your gameplay but if you turn off the FPS counter and play are you telling me you can tell exactly when you drop under 100 FPS or is it some kind of mental thing?

lowering settings "enhances fps" pretty simple. i have no trouble spotting people on low settings.

No, just that FPS is not everything. I bet you have a 60hz monitor for a start? Plus, people always used to lower the settings on games like BF2 as it was easier to spot enemies, which I used to do myself when we played competitively. BF3 is not the same. It is OPTIMISED to be played on high. Anything less and it is harder to spot enemies etc. Try it!

Whats the point of 100 FPS if you are actually making the game harder for yourself? I assume the whole point of your obsession is because you think you are a leet player no?
