8 PACK MEMORY RANGE GROWING: SAY HELLO TO 8 PACK RIPPED EDITION & 32GB KITS!!!

Did you reset the bios before changing the memory? Maybe put the old stuff back in and set the memory to 2133 1.35volts then change back to the new

So I just installed the 3600 C16 along with my new 3700X and I'm getting an OD error code with no POST. I'm on the latest BIOS for my CH6 and it POSTs fine when I put my Trident 3200 C14 back in. Any ideas?

try upping the soc voltage in the bios around 1.050 - 1.1v max see if the pc boots, don't go above 1.1v as you may degrade the memory controller on the cpu

are you able to test the new ram in another machine and replicate the error?, if so i'd say the ram is bad which would suck
I can try it in my HTPC :) - will do so after a quick shop.
hhmmm try one stick of the new stuff. if it works, remove and test the other
Tried that, still no luck. Leaning towards defective stick at this point.

I was running it on XMP for the Trident (DCCOP or something like that), no other tweaking. I've cleared the CMOS and tried loading optimized defaults.

Hi all I have 4x8gb 3600c16 ram 8 pack which i bought last year at XMP settings on a gigabyte master with a 3900x, would the ripped 3600c14 versions make that much difference compaired to these in performance ?

I have not even tried to get the fram to 1:1 one yet which is 3733

thanks

I wouldn't think you'd see a huge difference, bigger impact going 1:1. I can say the C14 ripped are good, my system feels very quick andaand responsive. It all depends on your spare cash if it's worth it to you.

Eventually tried the 8Pack 3600 C16 in my HTPC - worked fine. I then tried it back in my main rig - worked fine :o.

Not sure why the initial hiccup (no POST/0D code) but sitting at 3600MHz along with my new 3700X  - now some fine tuning :D.

Undetectable I would say in general usage. A tuned 3600 c16 kit will be better than an untuned 3600 c14. So tighten those secondaries.

I've not read through a lot of the last few pages fully, so if this has been mentioned then please ignore me :)

I was just curious to see what settings I could get out of the Ryzen DRAM Calculator with these 3600C14 sticks and noticed an amazing set of figures in the bottom left box where it shows RAM quality etc! Best I've ever seen

That's an interesting score but I feel like it's bugged or something. The G.Skill C15 kit I have was 100 and 4600 C16. You would assume 100% would be a maximum score.

What's the screenshot for the Main tab Fast preset looking like? I wonder if it will also recommend 14-14-15-28 at 1.45v

I'll have to run it again to check.

Strangely enough I've just downloaded version 1.7.3 and it no longer populates the RAM Quality rating section, does anyone else have this issue? Maybe my RAM is too much for it to handle :D
