I've got a birthday/somebody moving somewhere else party to attend this weekend with the main points being a) there will be a bouncy castle b) it's going to be 80's rave themed.

Now i'm cool with getting dressed up and spending some cash on new clothes but due to age i kind of missed that whole scene.

I was kind of thinking a dayglo t-shirt, acid wash jeans maybe get some new retro trainers?

Just any kind of advice as to what was worn back in the day would be much appreciated. any accessories etc would be cool as well.

Black jumpsuit including hood and a day-glo yellow dust mask with a giant black A on the front.

Add some glo-sticks and you will be the coolest person alive.

Bright coloured shell suit, Heavy duty dust mask and a Timmy-mallet style day-glo baseball cap.
 
glo sticks and whistle a go go. would love the jump suit and mask if i could find it in next day or so. otherwise it's all about the kickers.
 
search for 'its a rave dave' on YouTube - You'll get lots of ideas from that. I particularly enjoyed the Pluto hat. Genius
 
The 'How to Dance at a rave' video should help you pull some pretty fly moves! Playing ping pong anyone?

You can't go wrong with a beanie hat, smiley face T-shirt, faded jeans, white trainers, white gloves, a couple of glow sticks and a whistle.

Respect to the man in the ice cream van ... oowwa oowwa etc.

acid wash/stone wash jeans and dm's with grolsch bottle tops.
 
My outfit of choice was a pair of Daniel Poole jogging bottoms with flourescent strip, Daniel Poole or Eclipse t-shirt, Rezerection Bandana or hat, Rezerection white gloves and 2 lightsticks. Ah, those were the days.
 
Baggy Spliffy jeans, NAFNAF/Sweater Shop jumper, Global Hypercolour t-shirt, oversized dummy, whistle (the last two on strings round your neck), dayglo trainers or kickers with the grolsch bottle tops, dust mask with acid face, add glo sticks. Sorted.
