Could be memory related. Is everything else at auto? Set 1 thing at a time to try and narrow it down.
1.35v should be enough for most 8700ks

Memory ran fine at 3200 with my Ryzen

Nope, down to silicone lottery and looks like you lost.
If that’s the case I will send it back and buy a delidded chip

These are the setting I’m using
1) Set XMP
2) Vcore / Manual / 1.35v
3) IO 1.2v
4) SA 1.22v
5) CPU standby 1.2v
6) LLC / load line calibration 6 or 7 (board dependent)
7) Current cap (CPU) 140%

Remove xmp and try cpu overclock only.
Or manually set the timings, it may just not like the xmp profile.

before realbench, what is the absolute minimum voltage for it to pass cinebench r15? if Asus please set LLC6, Asrock LLC1 and manual/fixed voltage please.

Indeed realbench is known to cause issues with certain Nvidia drivers. I know, I had a **** load of issues with realbench on ryzen!

Most 8700Ks will make 5.0 after delid, but not all, according to Silicon Lottery. Your SA and IO voltages seem really high, could easily drop them by 0.1 V for 3200.

I will try CineBench when I get in I was using LLC5

I had my IO at 1.3 at one point

1.2v is fine although not needed at 3200. Lower it could help with the temp.
When you do the cinebench please let me know the voltage you set in bios and the voltage which cpuz reads.
Will do, I really may have a bad chip because I was shocked at the temps at stock they were hitting 68-72c and that’s with my triple and dual rads, it only has my chip and 1070 in the loop

cinebench will give a pretty good picture of the chip since it doesn't stress anything else in your system.
for reference, I have had 3 8700ks.
best one do 5.0Ghz at 1.248v (cpuz) which now passed 2hr of realbench at 5.2Ghz 1.41v, 4.9 cache, 4000 c16 17 17 28. The other two needed 1.296v for cinebench so I sold them off wouldn't bother to delid and all that.

Got my first 8700K yesterday, so not done much tinkering yet, however mine managed

5Ghz Core 4.7Ghz cache at 1.31v in R15

4000Mhz Memory 12-12-12-28 1T @ 1.85v

Level 6 LLC

120% Current Capacity (I think it's called that)

No delid, Phanteks air cooler on Z370 Apex, bios updated to latest 0801

Just to add to the info for OP

Can't run those settings in Xtu though, need to drop CPU to 4.9Ghz and up Vcore to 1.32v

Also found updating my bios to latest version helped
