Since the other thread got closed, i thought i'd make a new thread asking OcUK what the status is on the 8800GTs and when they are being delivered?
Im sure im not the only one waiting here.
 
I called them up late on Friday and was told that "it's looking increasingly unlikely that the delivery of GTs will arrive today but should definitely arrive on Monday and be shipped out the same day".

I'll wait and see.
 
Bump. (Worth having this thread at the top).

Supposedly there are quite a lot of BFG's coming, according to Gibbo in his last thread.

I changed my order to a BFG OC2 ---- I'm hoping they arrive soon.

Can someone give us an update please?
 
i rang up this morning and have been told to expect the evga 8800gt about mid week :( i was so hoping for it to be delivered tomorrow but looks increasingly more likely that i wont see a delivery till the end of this week. i am so disappointed

Gutted, but it happens. I been waiting 3 weeks for my order to arrive. (not OcUK)

I should be getting it tommorow or wed (the guy is having an MSI card delivered this morning, and will have it posted out to me later on today)

Im sure its worth the wait tbh.... Although 3 weeks using a peice of **** spare pc has made me claw the walls!
 
yep, LOL.. one MSI and 2 Leadteks, thats it, pretty scarse to say the least!

Its been a catalogue of disasters from start to finnish with my order, this card was the alternative to my alternative to my alternative!! but the MSI card is an oc one so can't moan, with the £30 refund the gave me for ******* about i got it cheap, just a bummer waiting.
 
Called up this morning too about the BFG cards and was told that they are chasing up the courier company that bummed them about on Friday and shoulde get them in some time this week. Said it 'might' be today but more likely later in the week to have them delivered on Thursday or Friday.

I just rang to chase my non OC order and its gone from delivery tomorrow to delivery some time in the vague future. They have had a batch of 'Jetaway' cards in, but no EVGA.Its not looking good...
There I was thinking I had found someone who could beat all the queues..

I have just spoken to another company about GT stock and they told me they are having a large shipment in near the end of the week which will sort out all back orders and then some.
 
I hope for you that it is true, but I think retailers are being promised big deliveries that either do not arrive, or arrive but with only a fraction of the stock promised. I just don't think there is enough stock to go around, and any shipments that are coming in are being divided up between lots of retailers who are all screaming for new stock...
