They don't make much more peak with mods as the top end is good. If you think you really need more power you can get a lot more midrange. Although this is no good for pub chat

I've never really wanted for more power though.

The other thing to note is that certainly with newer cars (pre 02 ran rich) slapping on an intake and exhaust upgrade can result in running very lean.

Everyone bangs on about peak figures, and in reality, a Hondata/AEM EMS unit with a decent map from someone like Mase will result in good (10BHP+ midrange gains. Even more with the right exhaust/intake setup.

If you have unlimited monies, PWD JDM Intake, J's Manifold, and then whatever exhaust you want based on single/dual/volume... Personally I'd go for a J's Racing 60RS dual. That little lot however brand new is probably close to £4k with the engine remap, and as others have said, you might get 20 BHP peak, and maybe 30-35 in the midrange.

It will sound incredible, and have fantastic response though :)
 
Forgive ignorance simon, decat on my last Honda would throw a CEL and cause the car to run very rich unless it was mapped accordingly. Is this not the case with the S2000?

So a decat is totally fine then. Seems like a nice cheap mod. Will probably do that first when I have some free cash.
