Eh? You mean that actually offended someone
I'm not going to apologise for it, if anyone does find it offensive they are daft:)

I personally wouldn't of said it, but I certainly wasn't offended by it. As Gilly said I was just drawing comparsions. It was also a slight dig at Man Utd as their fans had no reason to be in the thread ;)

:)

Oi !

We can still discuss CL football cant we?

Or should we ban all the Goons from next years CL thread ;)

I've edited out the offending comment, so let's just get on with the thread please.

It all starts there my friend. Editing that will show people that the bosses will crumble under minority pressure :p

Next someone will be saying they are offended at the term "runner up" as its offensive to their friend who can't run... :p

Good result for us yesterday, even though Bolton were better than us in the first half. We were much better in the second half though. Playing Bolton is always a tricky fixture.

After Chelsea's performance yesterday there is no way they are going to lose it now.

Thought Arsenal played well for the first 15-20mins yesterday then Man U just took over and deserved to win in the end. Was suprised Wenger didn't start with Henry  Maybe he is looking to follow the Benitez CL qualification route ;)

I wonder how many Spurs fans are nervous about Arsenals CL run?

Nah, I'm cynical enough to know that we won't get 4th place anyway. :)

Given Tottenham's last five fixtures, Arsenal would need to seriously mess up not to take 4th place.

Stonking performance from Chelsea yesterday.
Drogba was immense andd WH had no answer whatsoever - and all accomplished without any histrionics - speaking of which, why no focus on the acting by Scaloni? Maniches tackle was no way a red card, and the slow mo shows quite clearly that minimal contact was made with his thigh (I think he was jumping up as Scaloni slid in), but then he looks at the ref approaching and buries in face in his hands? And yes Mr Konchesky, we did see you making masturbatory gestures to the MHL.
And breathe...
Thought the worst when the WH goal went in, despite it being their first real attack, and for a ten minute period I thought we looked rocked after Maniche went off.
But Drogba earned his wage yesterday and looked like a £24m player - Terry and Gallas were incredibly solid - a real captains performance from JT.
Thought the only person who looked a little lost was Geremi (also the recipient of a poor tackle) but I think that came down to not quite knowing whether to stick or twist in the defend/go forward stakes. And some shooting practise for Essien please.
Incredible team spirit shown at the end, one of the best days at the BRidge this season I think.

And to bring my blood presure right back up I firmly believe that Wenger left Henry on the bench to ensure a loss and put more pressure on his nemesis JM.
Wibble.

You should know by now that players who don't play for Chelsea are allowed to do that stuff. Did you see Gerrard fall in the box yesterday? Didn't get a whiff of a mention in here;)

And heading...

Hopefully Drogba will learn a lot from yesterdays performance, he can play football when he wants & that wins him more friends & benefits the team more overall than his fannying about. Maybe the fact that he had some help up front yesterday took some pressure off him, or maybe the alledged dressing room bust ups have gotten through his thick skull at last:)

To be fair the whole game was pretty glossed over as it was a bit of a non event..... I for one was really annoyed with Gerrard, as if he'd actually put the effort in he might if made a goal from the chance, he certainly would've made it to ball at the same time, if not before the defender. Getting increasingly frustrated with his all round play, hes really gone off the boil, we havent really missed him in the games hes not been in (Everton, West Brom), not sure if that says more about Gerrard or the team.

Have to agree, if he'd stayed on his feet he would have had a chance to score as the 2 Bolton players took each other out.
I thought I was alone in thinking He had gone off the boil a bit, Thank goodness Alonso has stood up to be counted in these last couple of games, He's been outstanding lately
