9-12 Week workouts

I've postponed this as my weight loss last week was so good i'm extending it for another week. My weight has changed some what too, the last time I weighed my self I was 82kg, i'm now down to 74.6kg.

I've just tried a 400ml test shake to see my body's reaction with:

30g chocolate/unflavoured mix of protein powder
2g Creatine
3g BCAA Berry Blast flavoured
1g Beta Alanine

I knew the Creatine was going to taste awful so I mixed the other supplements first and it kinda tasted of dark chocolate and cherry. I then started to add the Creatine at 1g, tasted and then another 1g but after 2g this was my palatable limit. I think i'm going to have to get used to the flavour and mix in larger 600ml shakers to get more down me.

If you manage to dissolve it in water, it does have a rather weak, unusual taste, but then it's an amino acid, so what do you expect?

If you're sticking it in a shake of some description with milk, chocolate powder, etc, then you shouldn't be able to taste it.

Taste is relative, of course, but I'd wager you're just not used to it yet.

This is what I said but Chong Warriors thinks there's something wrong with it.

I suppose there's always an immeasurable scope for personal taste but creatine doesn't taste of anything!. This from someone who's been taking it since he was 16, I'm now 38. I've taken a huge amount of brands in that time, MP exclusively in the last 10 and it's never, ever, tasted of anything.

It does have a slight taste when dissolved completely in water which is what I'm guessing the OP is referring to...

However, most people don't wait until that point to consume it: suspension (I.e. with powder still visible) is fine.

Beta alanine has a taste and it could well be that... but it's the parasthesia that is noticed first.

After the fourth shake of this i'm getting used to it, will try adding another gram tomorrow. The shake tasted fine until I added the creatine, so it's definitely that.

My first proper workout today after the diet I went on and my muscles were pretty weak. I suppose I should have expected this after losing about half a stone in 2 weeks but I'm hoping it won't last long now I've increased my calorie intake.
