Sorry to start a new thread but I just want some instant advice on clocking my 980ti after getting my X34 gsync monitor.
I have the Asus poseidon on air
what clocks are a stable place to start?
cheers
Don't bother. Sell it and get a 1080. Join the fun and excitement.
Surprised such an active member on this forum does not know how to oc![]()
I know how to overclock,
I'm just being lazy as I CBA testing and benching...
I figured a close ball park would speed things up.
Why do all the work a year after release when you lot have done all the leg work
Its a community help a brother out.
BTW your post is not very helpful one bit...I would have thought with such few post's and nearly 6 years of OCUK membership you would have at least learnt some quality control![]()
Just use Heaven in windowed mode so you can have afterburner on top, start at 1450 and let the gpu get up to temp, then add 10mhz at a time until it falls over, load it up again and back it off 10 from where it fell over and you shoild be good to go. Mem should be able to do 1900-2000.
I'm under water and i've got my stable at 1500 core, 2000 mem. i can go higher but temps start to get more than 50c![]()
Same but i'm running it at 1450, also of note the EKWB backplate gets hot as **** for want of a better phrase! Which I guess means its doing what it is supposed to.

This is the best advice, I did exactly above, first I over clocked the memory to its max and then moved onto the core, on my Palit I now have 2000Mhz on memory and boost to 1500Mhz on the core, and this is on air, very impressive for 'budget brand'
