A Battlefield 2142 thread

Ive pre-ordered it.

Never played BF2, but heard a lot. Had a spare twenty so i thought sod it, it'll keep me occupied for an hour at least. :D

Been watching some videos, including the titan training one, and to be honest im quite looking forward to playing it.

:)
 
I was going to get it via ea downloader, until I read the price. I'll save the extra £15 and get the dvd instead.

no offence Errol, but as you've shown on the tother forum, you are with out doubt the most brown nosed sycophantic EA fanboy imagineable, so it's a bit much you insulting the folk who don't share your "blind brand loyalty/enthusiasm" for all things EA/battlefield related. your hardly a model of impartialety & as such your opinion really should be taken with a truck load of salt. ;)

He stated that people did not know what to do in game. Given that I worked out (lol) what to do in about 5 minutes they must either be very stupid indeed or simply not interested in playing sensibly.

Anyway, I find it slightly bizarre that people who have no interest in 2142 are posting in a 2142 thread. Why not just post elsewhere, as I'm fairly sure that people who are anxiously waiting for 2142 are not at all interested in your opinions.

I await the reviews with interest and fully expect the majority to be exceptional.

Hi m8. I remember squadding with you on several occasions.

50K servers are still full and there is an excellent Special forces one now. Really looking forward now to 2142 though.
 
enjoyed all the battlefield series and still enjoy BF2 ...

was 'unlucky' enough to be in the first stage of the beta with a few clan mates.
out of 8 of us who had it and played for a few weeks none are gonna buy it,
its just not the next online shooter everyone thought it would be.

now ofc, the full game with all the maps and *cough* bugs/crashes fixed might be different,
but lets face it 2142's main problem is actual gameplay which sucks.

im defo looking at ET:QW as the next big online fps, it looks more tactical and involving,
2142 afterall is nothing more than a quick cash in with the bf2 engine modded

Agreed. Lets keep this a 2142 only thread please. :)

I like many others here are anxiously waiting and really looking forward to playing this game. So let's not kill the mood.

i was a huge BF2 fan, but that doesnt take away that this is still a mod (yes i played the beta) that they are charging full game price for.

Who cares if its a mod/new game? At the end of the day it's gonna cost you between £20-35 depending where you buy it from. I paid about £35ish for BF2 when it came out and when I think of how many hours of entertainment (and we are talking a lot here! :D ) that has provided, its a very small fee to pay indeed and I dont mind paying it at all.

Roll on 2142! :D
