PKM (Support) - deadly in the right hands, useless in most peoples...
G36C (Spec Ops) - no scope, disappointing
DAO/Jackhammer - A.K.A. 'DOA', only good at very short range

I'm quite happy with it on my Barton 2500 (small overclock) with 9800se (also small overclock) and 1GB. Not sure what my settings are as I left it at what auto detect set it to.
One thing though, this game raises my system temps more than any other piece of software including prime 95 on max cpu load stress test

Gah i tried that microsoft "windows install cleanup" utility but still no luck with installing BF2 again :/ ... i can't see how to turn off NAV after reboot so i'll have to stop it loading in msconfig i guess ? then try installing ... 
edit* - well i've stopped anything NAV uses from starting on bootup and it still doesn't work and i've also deleted my BF2 folder from my docs ( made a backup copy first tho - on a different drive ) and that doesn't appear to have helped either
It's looking more and more like a formet is on the cards :/ not done one for ages though so might be a good idea in a way ...

I dont like the L-85 either..doesnt have enough kick to it, feels like your firing a BB gun.

im having real trouble now ever sincei installed the latest patch (i just left min at retail) it crashes every bloody game and whats worse it isnt updating my combat stats my kills have updated once from when i installed hte patch, and now all the servers appear to have a really high ping grr im begging to ahte this game.

very few patches require you to install a patch over a patch. I just got my airborne ribbon tho flew the plane up got out and it just went into a a nose dive, it took a long time ofr it to rach the ground tho i just saw it go straight past me and hit hte ground i hurt a lot of people tho, the explosion wasnt very big tho did some practice with the dragonov its good, much better than the m24.

I have noticed since patching that the multiplayer browser ping results are a bit erratic. On local european servers I'm usually in the mid 20s but the browser may suggest 130+ on these servers. However sometimes when I enter a 130 ping server I get just that: 130+ pings. A bit annoying.
I'm away on a business trip for a week. Maybe I'll be able to download the 1.03 patch by the time I'm back
Unlocks:
Managed to steal a G36C for a bit from a guy I peppered. Seems quite a good choice to me. Especially since I'm either spec ops 90%/sniper 10%. And I prefer the dragunov over the m24 anyway so probably wouldn't like the m95.
Result. Just went back to Game and they handed over a new manual and cd without blinking an eyelid! Can't wait to start playing this tonight!!mark66 said:

hmm in two minds here, my unlock should be coming soon (Started playing a bit more)....
I've predominantly been the Assault class for ages now since I find it easy to get kills with that gun. Now.. I understand the G3 is a Spec ops gun, but I would like to go back to that class if the gun was at least as good as the assault... is it ?
Or should I unlock the new assault rifle?

the G3 owns so much picked one up earlier. yea my maps are taking foreverto load sometimes but not the laoding its hte verifying client data takes aobut 2 minutes.
