A battlefield2 thread

Any way to scale the UI and Crosshair? Can't stand having a massive crosshair, and the mini-map takes up a large proportion of the screen...

I'm going to stop playing BF2 today, ive played it for ages now and im really bored and fed up. The physics in the game suck, when people jump it looks so unrealistic, and dont get me started when they dive like dolphins. It's also because im sick of the Artillery, APC's, Tank's, Jet's, Apache's and god knows what else, I prefer games like Americas Army and FEAR etc... It was fun, but ive lost my passion for the game, shame really. I did have really good fun when it first came out :( I guess I get bored of games very quickly.

Can't find that server on the list :s

Do I need to manually patch or will it do that automatically?

Also, what's this about points/ranks...etc? How do I check this for my account?

Still struggling to find a decent ranked server...
 
Migsy, click the BFHQ tab inside the game menu. Also you can make all parts of the HUD transparent I think, under options

zildjian - you've played too many hours to say you got fed up quick!
 
I updated PB manually and played on a 32 player server last night without issue.....hopefully that's it sorted....

Needs to be patched to 1.3 mate.
Also Don't have any more than 6 filters enabled in the server listing or it messes up your list.
Double click on the ping toggle also and it will arrange the list properly. ^^Double click.
Also click on the server and wait for a correct ping reading and ignore the initial high ping readings.

yet ANOTHER problem i have with bf2 but this one seems bad and i dont have a clue what to do please help!! I was playing bf2 yesterday was working fine like normal i go to play it this morning and it loads up to where you have to sign in then it just stays on " connecting to account server " i get up task manager and it says it is not responding i mean wtf it was fine yesterday!! i have tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it but didnt do a thing still not responding.... to PLEASE any ideas on this!!

Sorry if it sounds like I am talking down but did you patch the reinstall?
 
Mine can take anywhere up to 10mins to connect to the account server sometimes. It does work though, just leave it for a while and i do mean a while.

Ok this worked it now logs in and i can play but guess what.... yep that right something else is wrong now all my stats have nothing in them even thing is on 0 and my rank is on when you first start... this game is starting to p me off!!

I don't know but the way the BF2 stats are handled compared to before 1.03, I think it may be important.
 
Chill Twizla dude it sounds like the stats server is down a few peeps have posted with the same. It'll be sorted soon enouth.
 
The three servers I play on (in this order)

50 Klicks - 50 players, mostly city maps. (look out for a guy called slick1000, he's Scottish, for great squad-work, he actually uses his microphone, so we can play together well.

PTG (path to glory) City Maps only - 64 players - Damned hard to get in, but a brilliant experience if you can.

=ESU= City maps only - Awesome overall, usually some spaces.


I'll get the IP addresses of them later; but right now I'm off to walk the dog :P
