A battlefield2 thread

does anyone know if you can unlock the new weapons, like the G36E and stuff, without the SF expansion?

I hope so, its not fair all these people with the F2000 having a assault rifles and a shotgun attatched to the bottom of it, and also because i want the SCAR.
 
right its very simple if you dont own special forces befriend someone who does, now play on their comp, playing special forces kill a guy leave, wait for your bfhq stats to update log out login, choose unlocks now you can play with them on your own comp.
 
i don't have any friends who have PC's capapble of playing BF2 :(
could you do it for me?

btw, Stellios, the SCAR-L and F2000 are rubbish.
the SCAR is underpowered, and the F2000 has a full-auto spread that would make a shotgun proud.

the G36E is awesome though.

I have a Microsoft Sidewinder joystick which is serial or USB connect. Can i use that JUST for the flying on this game if i choose ? just would like to try it out. perhaps it may be a bit easier with the joystick ?

I have had one of those gathering dust for about two years at my feet, and it never occured to me to try setting it up for bf2 until I read this post. Works a charm. :rolleyes: :D
 
SF engineer unlock is pretty good too, only ever found it on one bodybag once. I think all the unlocks are pretty good, keep getting killed as soon as I pick one up though grr
 
Anti tank is probably the one that gets you out of sticky situations the best but medic is sooooo much fun, stuff shooting, just run round the field with my zappers and do millions of revives.

Thats what I like doing. and then switch bac k to guns and kill 3 or 4 people :)...

Just unlocked *** medic weapon. with the scope. Its awesome on single fire mode.
 
Wish i did now, i unlocked the G36, then about 20 minutes after that i was addicted to being medic. Me wants the L.85 now.

Anyone know what you need to get the next unlock, is it another 500 points?
 
I like playing other classes, but I find that when your playing on publics theres not enough other anti tank kits providing any sort of cover. So I am forced to pick it to have any chance of defending a flag. :o
 
Been busy all day. Finally sat down for a couple of hours Killing and am Denied.
Am getting the Data error message. Same for loads of peeps it seems but one of my mates is on a server now.
When i rang him he was playing. Lets hope whatever the problem is someone realises and fixes it quick.
S'pose i'll have to take my Blood Lust onto Source for now. Am using the name PvtManlove its causing quite a stir. Didn't realise there were so many Homophobes about. Mind you telling them they've been owned by a Poof don't help. :D
