You have to unlock them. When you hit your promotion ranks and get an unlock of standard BF2 youll get one for SF too.

So, do I have to start from the bottom again in SF and work my way up separately? I'm a Staff Sergeant in regular BF2 at the moment.

What would I have to do in order to unlock the L96 (given that I've already unlocked the M95)?

The next promotion you get you will get the option for 2 unlocks instead of one. To get the SF unlocks you must first unlock the BF2 equivalent, so for the L96 you will need the M95 first.

If your staff segeant then when you hit your next rank at 8000 points youll get 2 unlocks.

No you dont need to start again, and you should have some SF unlocks to compensate for your previous ranks i think.

What about getting booted? Any idea why it's saying it doesn't allow modded content?

edit: Working now, all patched up! Also got my unlocks, I just forgot you have to go to BFHQ :)

im fairly new to this game and i often see people running/jumping, rolling and going into the prone position... how do you do this? :confused:
 
Its automatic depending on the direction you're running when you go prone, but you dont actually get to see yourself doing it.

Did you re apply the latest patch once you installed SF? If not reapply the latest patch (1.22 Full would be the safest bet to avoid problems)

That's just what you see from outside when people go prone. Other people will see this when you do it. :)

Yup, just downloaded the full 1.22 patch and applied it, working flawlessly now. :cool:

Just been playing on this server for a while and was having a good game until some infantile "Admin" decided to TK me for plane - then when i said about it i was kicked and banned for 5 mins !!! I have never had a problem before on this server, but i guess its just a teenager with some kind of superiority complex !!!

Anybody else finding bf2 in a bit of a lull at the moment? sparkle seems to have been lost a little with lower numbers playing vanilla bf2. Are they all off playing expansions?

The game has been out for ages. Also new recruits arent common this time of year for online games like WOW. Should increase over summer.

Not to mention the mod scene has hotted up and people dont mind playing mixed versions of the gameplay.

I am in this Lull. I have played 3 times in the last 2 weeks rather than my previous daily visits.
All 3 times i went on i scored well and even got a few more Golds but the buzz is just not there at the mo.
What's annoying me is the same old game play. Rather than learn it seems peeps are just as clueless to team play as they were in the beginning.
I expected it in the early days but not at this late stage in the game.
Also i must say that EA are ******* me off.
They keep messing with my game without consulting me. :p
I thought the EA pack would add to the game making it more than it was but it hasn't. Same with the SF add on. Rather than give us more of what we odviously liked they decided in there infinite wisdom to **** it up for us.

I await for my buzz to return.
 
Got a little bored of it myself, just got tired of the prone wars 2 thing...

Still reckon the auto team balance is naff and dont work and then u get issues when no one wanna swop sides, artillary every god darn 10 seconds is unfair also....

Been on obvlivion like most lately, but even im sick of that now lol who wants to go on a stupid quest wondering the forest killing the same wolf dog for 2 hours

To back this up lol, the last two rounds I have just played..

1st round I got followed and teamkilled by a guy called 2force repeatedly for no apparent reason

2nd round the teams were 32 v 17 against me :o

No attempt was made to even them until only one flag remained. Then it was die repeatedly as you attempt to spawn with 25+ enemy at your flag :mad:

Sometimes the game really does suck but it does depend on the crowd.
