A battlefield2 thread

I got so tired of the slow speeds last night i went to bed and started downloading this morning.
Now gonna take me just under half an hour to get it. lol

Why couldnt it have been like this last night, oh well.
Gonna be playing in a minute so i dont care any more :)
 
I got to 70% last night from the generous link on here. What happened next? We had a Powercut!

Oh well its a lot faster this morning at a steady 112KB/sec.

Well Fubar I was in the DW server this morning but need to go to work will try and get in there tongiht ip's are above if you want thme.
 
ic ant seem to run it on full settings. if i put everything on full, it loads about 48% then quits to desktop. ive got an amd 64 3000 and a 6800gt

What are you guys managing to run it at on your system?

I'm fine @1600x1200 all maxed with 2AA:D

I have an A64 3500+ with a 6800gt @stock with 1gb xms3200 c2 pro.

I thought this game was going to be a real resource hog but it's looking very good imo.
I've only had a quick go on single player so It might slow a bit more on multiplayer but this is only a demo. Surely the retail will run a lot better?
Finding the game play pretty good too.

will this be a cs:s beater? I know its a completely different anilmal but I can see it consuming a large proportion of my gaming time :eek:

Mine struggles at the start when i spawn, i wonder if should grab another 512 stick for my 3rd slot on my dfi :/

AMD A64 3000 @250x9
2x512 Crucial Ballistix @ stock
DFI Lanparty 250gb
ATi Rad x800XTPE

Maybe another stick of 512 of ballistix would make it a bit smoother, i cant, and dont need 2x1gb tbh, my max in task manager shows 1200mb at peak, so it shipping into my pagefile, which aint good.

just played for a hour or so on multiplay.co.uk

loving it except for the mp5 with the rpg is poor (used 2 clips on enemy and didnt die) and got my first knife kill :)
 
I was playing till 5 in the morning, woke up and now i can't get back to sleep :o

So far, *** it :D
Think the new point system is great, i came top of the server just from being my squads medic and by picking up a couple of kills along the way.

More incentive to pilot vechiles like the black hawk. flew a black hawk with a gunner over to a spot were a uvac was. Managed to pickup 8 kills by defending the spot. Still havn't really got used to the attack choppers, wish u could practice in SP.

Only complaint so far, which i feared was that sniping got easier :(
