A battlefield2 thread

I still seem to be having the odd problem with download links. Twice i have come to within 1 MB from the end of the download and it has stopped!! :(

Got a download finishing in about 2 mins so hopefully it will finish properly.

thank god i am on 3meg ntl tbh. i dont mind starting again. anway, the download that just finsihed was good :)

Im off to play for a bit, first gonna sort out the resolution thingy.
 
i can put everything on full except for the texture filtering. for some reason it crashes to the desktop if i but it on full. doesnt look quite as spectacular as it did before but im sure it will be sorted out. does anyone else get a lot fo jittering near the beginning of the level? im running max settigns on a 6800gt and a64 at 2.5

Great game so far :) shows how much a mess the hl2 engine is ;) highest setting on hl2 my pc dies :) all high on this and highest screen rez my monitor can do and its playing fine :)

Having problem myself, I have to put a stupid name in otherwise it tells me the nick is already taken and now its telling me an account is already registered to my email :/
 
amazing game so far, trouble is finding a server thats not located in the US and full of idiots who just gets the planes and crash them 2seconds after taking off. Only one i'm been able to connect to and had a ping of 500-600 and kept getting warnings about a problem with my connection.

Anyone know of any decent UK servers? Maybe a separate thread with the IP's as its getting a little difficult to find stuff in this thread now.

Haven't tried messing with the graphics yet, look ok at default. May try cranking them up but i think thats going to mean changing drivers as mine are pretty old. Anybody using the latest omega drivers?
 
I got the hanging on account creation. Click your mouse and the creating account box disappears. Then go to retreive account and enter your email address and password and it will retreive the account that it has just been hanging while creating. Job done.
 
Seems pretty good so far.

I wasn't overly impressed with the graphics, but they are pretty good considering the map size and how much is being displayed at once.

Vehicles are good fun, plane was really fun to fly...First time I got into one I tried to do a barrel roll and ended up flying straight into the ground :o
 
right, i've tried downloading the demo twice now...first time was overnight and a problem with the security certificate stopped my download until i input my choice and therefore by the time i woke up the server was @ 100% and i'd lost my place....second time was this morning...with 40mins left i got a virus over irc which closed down all anti virus/ad software so i had to reboot after i couldn't find what files had been changed...now thrid time i really need to get a fast, reliable server thats not been overloaded with requests!

anyone got a link that i can use?

Demo is installed but I have hardly looked at it because i currently have Dawn of War on the brain :p

So I have one question for those who have ventured online...

Do people still vehicle camp and teamkill if you much as look at a shiny tank? :rolleyes: :p
