yeah i think the snipers are spot on, if you want to get a kill halfway across the map you need some skill, I don't see anything wrong with that. Hell i have taken out whole squads before, just leaving the medic to revive a couple of his mates then killing them again.....

Been playing this game solid for the last few days and I love it

My only quarms so far is the annoying draw distance for the grass. Although it looks like you are "concealed" at close range, from a far grass isn't drawn so you're just an easy target!

At least you can still hide in the bushes

There was a similar problem in Joint Operations. Turning down the draw distance you could see sneaky players a short distance away. I think the devs just make the player invisible and render them along with the grass...

Actually in bf2 the grass isn't affected by drawdistance, its the same for everyone because of people lowering their draw distance in bf nam to see through the grass.

whats the best first gun to get, based on the information that i prefer rifles can anyone suggest a nice accurate powerful weapon ?

do you even get to choose ? im about 30 mins play from the 2nd promotion

The medic upgrade is nice and accurate and scoped, but only medium power. The G36C is a good upgrade over the weak/inaccurate M4 but only has iron sights. The G3 is meant to be good and accurate/powerful but doesn't have a grenade launcher... It's a hard choice tbh

I got the SA80, only problem is now everyone wait for me to die thne nabs my gun so we look like some sort of british army medical hit squad, but the jack hammer looks good for my second weapon

sometimes its harder to see people in the grass...but you have no grass

Yea I think a fair bit is missing, there is longer bits of grass but it doesnt really obscure anyone exactly more like camoflague at best.

The top right, there is the crazy messed up mini map. It works sometimes but often best to use capslock to check for friendlies. Did you spot the almost invisible heavy tank with gunner on top lol

Demo recording turned off at 50 clicks now

Edit: strange on the map change it didn;t say you can dload the previous round demo, but i was able to get it anyway. :confused:

Demos now seem to be showing that juddering effect on the vehicles, not really suprising with 64 players, server load must be massive. :eek:

Server settings show it still enabled :confused:

Not really sure what you mean about the juddering - demos are rendered client side... :confused:

Theyre rendered client side but the server records the keystrokes for the demo file. When i was on it with one guy earlier the demo was smooth, when i joined it near full the demo was juddering around. Seems to be a server\setup issue to me. Theres also settings in the server for demo quality 1-10, obviously 10 puts a big load on the server but would probably retain the smoothness of the demo file.

I just played this round a mates, I'm amazed. Downloading the demo now, waiting to join the server he is on

Anyone got a website that has the basics of the gameplay? I was running around pretty aimlessly. I ain't after an in-depth tutorial, just some basics to get me started.

I dont use a joystick for flying but then again im not the best pilot

I use cursor keys + mouse does me fine.

My advice would be dont stand around in open ground, Probably get run over (im always getting run over)
