No, you won't I'm afraid, that Cooldrive 6 is holding you back :rolleyes:

What was the point, honestly? You have pretty much the fastest possible system money can buy - yet you still feel the need to ask if it'll run BF2 on max settings? Sure you didn't just want to draw attention to your super-leet new rig? :p

Thought so with the CD6, thinking of dropping it. ;)

Just asking as I have heard that you will need 2GB of RAM to run smooth & have one of those new Creative sound cards. All I need now is a decent Internet connection :o

I made a beuty of a knife kill today. Sniper high on the dam wall, i snuck up behind, lay down and stabbed him once up the rear. One strike kill and to top it off the corpse toppled off the dam :D Wish i had frapsed it.
 
Got my first Hele to Hele missile kill just now, it was in mid air for at least 7 seconds, half my squad cheered!

edit : Yeah the weapons were unlocked for me too! :confused:

You really need 2Gb tbh for total smoothness. You will still get paging.
 
Upgrading to 2GB myself (from 1) tomorrow and hoping to be able to put the settings up a little and to reduce the crazy loading times and the lag in the first few minutes as new textures are loaded up.

I got 2GB for this last week runing full in game settings on 64 player servers all smooth from the min you join a a game :)

Ah you gotta love the old sniper-knife-soddomy kills! ;)

But thats what I mean, those oppertunities hardly present themselves twice in one game let alone 8 times! :eek:

Anyone got any tips for getting the basic knife badge?
 
Im running with a 6600GT and 1Gb of ram. Is it worth upgrading to 2Gb or will the GPU hold me back too much?

Alternatively would upgarding the GPU work if i dont upgrade the memory.

Obviously costwise a GPU+Mem upgrade > GPU upgrade > Memory Upgrade.....
 
I cant even connect to the account server at the moment, anyone else getting this, says "connection refused" :confused: :mad:

are u gettin jerky framerates? do u need more speed? more Image quality depth.

Profiles with all Weapons Unlocked

Many users logged into Battlefield 2 today to discover that they had access to all of the game's weapons unlocked in their profile. We have fixed the root issue that caused this to occur and by tomorrow morning all users will return to having access only to the weapons which they had earned. Once our solution is in place, if you find that you do not have access to weapons appropriate to your in-game rank, please direct inquiries to the Support sites linked below. In some cases users may be prompted to re-select the Unlock weapons that they are eligible for (if you are eligible for two weapons you will get to choose the two you wish to have unlocked).

I found the knife medal easier than the pistol medal (haven't even got the pistol medal), just take Assault/Support class so you have armour and sprint to get in close to someone, one hit kills them and if you're fast enough they have problems shooting you while you're moving around them :p It's a lot easier on urban infantry maps too.

hehe thanks for that :)...was about to post a panic thread "OMG have i been banned ?" as server refueses my connection :P
